It’s a legendary local favorite with a kick! The 19th annual Pocono Garlic Festival will take root at the Shawnee Mountain Ski Area on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
Featuring a variety of goods, games, music and more, this year’s festival is bursting with garlic-themed fun for everyone! More than 50 vendors will present garlic-filled food, drinks, craft items and novelties. Featured dishes include garlic-infused soups, dips, sauces and even desserts!
In addition to the dazzling dishes, there will be live entertainment on two outdoor stages, a children’s activity area and an education tent. This year’s event will also feature artisan demonstrations, strolling entertainers, garlic-growing seminars, wildlife presentations and two rounds of the now-famous Garlic Eating Contest. Contests are open to the first 10 applicants, and begin at 2:30 p.m. each day.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate. Parking is free.
