Curious About Coyotes?

Did you know that the highest population of coyotes in Pennsylvania was, at one time, in the Pocono Mountains? Learn how the canines got here and why we have them during an interactive program at PPL’s Lake Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center!

Curious about Coyotes will take place on Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. Pennsylvania Game Commission Instructor Ron Tussel will talk about basic biology and genealogy, as well as fears and control of coyotes. Using a coyote mount, skull and teeth, Tussel will teach attendees how to identify the animals.

This free public program is suitable for all ages. Pre-registration is not necessary. PPL’s Lake Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center is located on PPL Drive in Hawley. For additional information, call (570) 253-7001 or e-mail pplpreserves@pplweb.com.
