As warmer weather settles in across the Pocono Mountains, a unique spring event puts ice back in the forecast. On Saturday, April 12, ice will fly during the first ever Spring Thaw Ice & Wine Festival at the Sculpted Ice Works facility in Lakeville.
Featuring six of Pennsylvania’s premier wineries in one fabulous location, this spirited celebration presents a wonderful opportunity for guests to toast the change of seasons and delight in distinctive goods from the Pocono Mountains region and beyond!
The afternoon will include a live professional ice-carving competition, Sculpted Ice Works Factory and Ice Harvest Museum tours, great music, barbecue cuisine, vendor sales and more fun for all. There will be charming crafts and candles for sale as well as sweet maple syrup and a selection of local cheeses to complement the wines.
Participating wineries include Antler Ridge Winery, Maiolatesi Wine Cellars, Nimble Hill Winery, Paradocx Winery, Pickering Winery and Grovedale Winery.
The Spring Thaw Ice & Wine Festival will take place from noon to 5 p.m. in the Ice House. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door; designated drivers will be admitted for $10. Advance tickets are available at all winery locations as well as Sculpted Ice Works.
