It’s been over five years since Pennsylvania State Trooper Joshua Miller lost his life rescuing a boy kidnapped from his home in Nazareth. In that time, friends and family have taken his memory to the streets with the Annual Josh Miller 5K Run set to take place this Sunday, Father’s Day, June 15 on Main Street in Stroudsburg.
Calling the husband and father “a remarkable individual” one run organizer Angela Tullo praises the community-wide effort in preparing for the event that also gives back with proceeds benefitting Northampton Community College Criminal Justice Majors. She reports, “Each year, 5-10 scholarships in the sum of $500 to $1,000 have been awarded.”
Those interested in participating can still register Sunday morning at 7 a.m. on Main Street, Stroudsburg, in front of Dunkin Donuts with an 8 a.m. start for the run.
