From our fine feathered fowl onto a look at the black bears indigenous to the region; here’s a tidbit on the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s educational program covering black bear behavior, biology and more slated for 7 p.m. July 24 in the Northeast Region office at 3917 Memorial Highway in Dallas.
“The black bear population in Pennsylvania is estimated to be over 18,000 individuals,” reports PAGC Information and Education Supervisor William Williams. He goes on to explain the intriguing “physical and behavioral adaptations that help them [black bears] survive and prosper” making this one interesting evening you’re sure to want on your agenda.
