One of the many hats parents don during summer break is Entertainment Coordinator. Whether it’s for the enjoyment of the little ones or a smidgen of a parental sanity saver; to have a plan in place for a fun time rain or shine is crucial.
Shawnee Playhouse lends a hand in the effort with another avenue of enjoyment to add to the mix with their Story Time STARS [Shawnee Theatrical Arts Resource School] series now in its 5th year running. Costumed performers take the rein inviting moms and dads to watch or join in as kids enjoy storytelling, face painting, singing and games.
Enjoy Grimm’s Fairy Tales’ Rumpelstiltskin, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and more in a 45 minute performance that encourages audience participation as the characters interact with the children bringing them on stage for their time to shine.
August 23 rounds out the summer series. Tickets are $10.
