Distinctive crafts and more await all amidst the scenic splendor that is Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm at the 28th Annual Pocono State Craft Festival Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24. Fine jewelry, woodworking, stained glass and pottery are but a few of the items adding to this shopper’s delight as Dixieland and Bluegrass music echoes through the hillside while friends feast on festival foods.
Calling PSCF a “community partnership at its best” Quiet Valley’s Deb Dipasquale compliments co-sponsors the Pocono Arts Council and the Pocono Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen for their efforts in bringing this culmination of noteworthy professionals behind such talented creations together for the two day affair. She notes how the Valley’s farmscape adds to the equation enhancing the event atmosphere of “beautiful fine art and crafts.”
Also adding to the days’ entertainment is a French and Indian War Encampment of the New Jersey Frontier Guard with a portrayal of life in the Royal Province of New Jersey during the monumental conflict spanning 1756 to 1763.
The festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday returning 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6 with children 12 and under FREE.
