Photographs capturing exquisite views of the estate amidst the breathtaking Saylorsburg countryside reflect the sheer beauty that translates through their collection of dry, semi-sweet and sweet wine creations.

Sitting comfortably close by, a young couple emanates warmth and happiness lending the ideal atmosphere smiling with their infant daughter, Maggie. The family, Randy and Tiffany Detrick, share the source of their content telling they’re fortunate to consider Blue Ridge their home and the journey to where they are today.

Before opening the winery three years ago, the energetic pair envisioned a destination that struck “the right balance between elegance and informalness.” Studying viticulture under masters, Sid and Ellie Butler, a vast knowledge of wine making developed. Indulging inquisitive winery tour participants 2 p.m. daily; Randy eagerly shares that knowledge; delivering facts including optimal latitude positioning and total temperate degrees imperative in achieving results the region is recognized for.

Considering neighboring vineyards and wineries along the Pocono Wine Trail comrades introducing the excellence of local wines; he explains how they, “Partner up to get the best of the best.” Wineries acquire the harvest grown by vineyards. With one harvest a year, Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery sources grapes from other sites for their own wine creations beyond that supply.

As wine tasting becomes an increasingly popular invitation to savor the enraptured flavors reminiscent of the Pocono Mountains; the association also creates a pool of people to the region eager to experience each taste.

Blue Ridge embraces such with weekend food pairings and a host of events focused on ensuring, “Every aspect of your senses is taken care of.” Live entertainment, Saturday Morning Yoga, and performances are set well into the future.

Bringing romance back to Blue Ridge after the success of last month’s dab in the romance getaway arena, they’ve arranged for a bit of Romance in February, Saturday the 14th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Live DJ entertainment, dancing and socialization is on the menu with wine of course!

Sharing thoughts of ongoing expectations, the Detrick duo tells of plans to introduce new tastes including Elements, a cleverly named blend they prefer to reveal little of enticing guests watch for then visit to see for themselves.

A future filled with laughter surrounded by friends and family with an open invitation to “enjoy life” best describes their campaign to elevate Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard and Winery and “the art of turning sunlight into wine” to new heights.
