Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center invites one and all to see how scrumptious maple syrup is made during Maple Sugaring Day, Saturday March 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Meesing Outdoor Site in Marshalls Creek!
Tours, tastings and tantalizing presentations are set! You can join Environmental Educators for an exploration through the site’s maple forest and capture a glimpse into early methods of making maple syrup with useful tips for tree identification and tapping. You’ll even see how the evaporation process turns maple sap into sweet scented syrup.
A sensory delight for sure but you simply can’t spell satisfaction without “t” for taste so plan on enjoying a sampling fo the sapling over hotcakes!
Meesing Outdoor Site is located on Creek Road, just 5.5 miles north of Marshalls Creek.
