Christened “The Niagara of Pennsylvania,” Bushkill Falls features eight waterfalls cascading over the primeval rocks and slate walls that form the uplands of the Pocono Mountains. As one of Pennsylvania’s most beautiful and dramatic natural sights, Bushkill Falls makes an ideal daytrip for hikers and great singles and family weekend getaway.
A visit to Bushkill is a journey into the beauty, power and grace of nature. Two streams flowing down the mountainside feed the eight waterfalls. Trails and bridges wind through the area—affording incredible views of the falls—into a lush, emerald green forest.
The majestic main waterfall drops over the edge of a 100-foot cliff into a pool banked by ferns, mosses and wildflowers. From there, the falls drop another 70 feet through a long gorge strewn with gigantic boulders.
Bushkill Falls’ 2015 season is underway so strap on some hiking boots and hit the trails!
“Water is the driving force of all nature.”
