A headline that would typically send chills up the spine of these Lakeville ice carving masters; yet Sculpted Ice Works Factory is set to celebrate April 18 with the 2nd annual Spring Thaw Ice & Wine Festival.
Calling the event “A great experience,” SIWF’s Kristen Johnson describes this gathering of fine wine, eats and amazing carving feats geared toward the age 21 and up crowd as an invitation to, “Laugh, have fun, drink wine and be merry!”
Noting the SIWF barn as the ideal spot to “Showcase the season” she reveals what’s to be expected as some of PA’s Premier Wineries bring forth a “Unique display of wines using a custom ice bar to serve and taste from.” There’s even a wine check room to store purchases so everyone can focus on the fun.
Kathryn Bauer adds her take on the STIWF atmosphere. Listing “A cool variety” of local artisans, she tells of woodcrafters and wine glass decorators to jewelry and scent-sational candle and soap creators. She adds live music from 30 Pack Lager and “Munching on delicious homemade barbeque” as tops to the mix for this year’s Spring Thaw Ice & Wine Festival’s recipe for success.
