Shawnee Rocks the River July 12 with a Pre-party the 11!

IMG_5076The Delaware River flows with hot music mayhem as Shawnee Riverfest IV returns to The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort July 12 with a 7:30 p.m. pre-party planned July 11 at Sycamore Grill. This popular free concert benefitting East Stroudsburg Salvation Army packed with six hours of local, national and international talent kicks off at high noon!

Organizer CILA Management’s Gil Coronado considers Riverfest, “A true family friendly experience.” While thinking of ways to support the community, the self proclaimed “music enthusiast” saw Riverfest as an ideal opportunity. Cultivating music and entertainment into a fundamental source for not only family time and fundraising, he also envisioned igniting enthusiasm for the arts.

New this year, artwork embodying the mission of Riverfest will be on display and auctioned off during the concert with the top two winners from the General Public and Grades 6-12 Categories distributed in tote bags and on t-shirts.

A culmination of various talents includes, Shawnee Playhouse Musical Nunsense Jamboree, with performances by local favorite Robin Smith, along with international sensation Natalia Segura and Kendall Phillips of American Idol fame.

Returning for her second year at Riverfest Phillips calls the experience “Alot of fun.” Performing her online hit single “My Heart Belongs in the Poconos,” the Indiana native told of the song’s conception stemming from “A love who lived in the Poconos” that led to a passion for the area.

“I’m very excited,” comments Segura as the Australian Latina singer/songwriter makes her Riverfest debut. “I love performing for family events and a good cause,” she adds.

Popular Pocono 96.7 radio personalities/emcees Gary Smith and Christina Luna keep the entertaining excitement flowing so set sights on a sensational Saturday at Shawnee!
