Barrett Business Bids Farewell…

Cooks Tour Adieu

Whether you love to cook, or simply love to eat, Cooks Tour has served as a top stop in the Pocono Mountains for decades. As this magnificent Mountainhome shop prepares to bid farewell in the coming months, many reflect on not only the seemingly endless assortment of cooking and backing items, but also the culinary knowledge generously shared.

Working 24 years with Cooks Tour before purchasing the business, owner Patrice McGrath reflects on how the store’s unique ware gained popularity and her years of experience.  Early on it was apparent classes taught by local chefs from major area resorts would became a well received means of learning how to properly and efficiently use the cookware. When classes were not in session, the full onsite kitchen continued to offer the opportunity for customers to test products before purchasing.

Now nearly 40 years have passed since they began “Helping Recipes a success” with intentions of extending a parting culinary contribution to guests of 25% off almost everything in the store for holiday recipes and gift giving.

This Week in the Poconos magazine wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to the wonderful people, products and personality of Cooks Tour. Sharing this opportunity to meet the talent behind the Tour and checkout what’s in store directing attention to their ad illustrating fall hours.
