Baking Season’s upon us…
Here’s a Trick of the Trade
To Entice Trick or Treaters
& Tame Comfort Food Cravings
This Week’s tip comes from our dear friend Patrice at Cooks Tour in Mountainhome—THE go-to guru of culinary to-do’s!
Did you know… one cup of sifted flour is not the same as 1 cup of flour sifted?
If the word sifted appears before the word flour in the recipe, then you sift before measuring; but if it says 1 cup flour sifted, you sift after measuring.
Sifting is done to lighten and aerate the recipe, as well as, remove any possible lumps.
Ah— the power of word play, reminding all to read instructions carefully!
