Experience winter play the Hawley way at Hawley Winterfest! This beloved three day communitywide celebration returns to the lake region from December 11 through 13. Now in its 17th year, Winterfest vests all the cherished events of years past with exciting new additions!
Embrace the magnificence of Hawley where the fun begins Friday with exhibits, giveaways and warm traditions. Reminiscent of an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas, residents and guests share in the good cheer of this holiday season with exciting family friendly fun.
New this year, the Stourbridge Line Winterfest Flyer and a Visit Lacawac Hike offer take to the track then on a trek options exploring the outdoors. Enjoy a 40 minute round-trip train excursion down the Lackawaxen River at $10 for adults and $5 each child until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Ages 12 and up can trek along a naturalist-led hike from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday and discover the area’s rich natural and cultural history for $20 or $35 a couple. Reservations are required by calling (570) 689-9494 with coffee or tea before and lunch after.
Winterfest favorites continue with a brochure packed with seasonal music stops and live performances. Sparkling decorations, unique entertainment and great shopping with free shuttles that loop through town Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. so you can park it and prance among the festivities.
