Camelback Opening LG

With favorable snowmaking conditions forecasted, Camelback Mountain is all set for skiing and snowboarding!

“The amount of snow we can make is dependent on both the air temperature and humidity,” said Brian Czarnecki, vice president of sales & marketing. “Ideal snowmaking conditions are when it is 32 degrees or colder with low humidity. In favorable conditions, we have enough snowmaking power to cover the George Washington Bridge with a foot of snow in a 24 hour period.”

Current temperatures at Camelback are forecasted to be in the 30s during the day and in the 20s at night. Colder weather is expected further enhancing Camelback’s snowmaking opportunity.
