Carve4Cancer set for this Saturday- February 6

CARVE4CANCER returns to Big Boulder Saturday, February 6! While this day-long ski and snowboard “lifestyle festival” includes FREE live music, along with art and events from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Boulder Park lodge, it serves a purpose-pulverizing blood cancers.

Fundraising for research shares the spotlight with educating today’s youth on the importance of philanthropy with C4C’s Brent Evans telling how engaging the next generation serves as a means of “Planting the seeds” for a lifelong devotion to charitable work.

Revealing a clever day’s incentive the Stage IV Non-Hodgkin survivor explains, “It’s incredibly difficult to find a [bone marrow] match” for transplants. He notes a simple oral swab test can determine eligibility with the C4C team targeting a swap…do the mouth swab and they’ll scrap your Rail Jam fee!

Raffles, prizes and giveaways from the top snowboard/long-board manufacturers are planned, along with on the snow demos using the latest gear. There’s also an invitation to try your skills on Big Boulder’s custom rail park along with rail jam.

Every full day lift ticket purchase results in a direct donation to Carve 4 Cancer. With a goal of $15,000 along  with community-wide education, the crew extends an open invitation to join their cause and “Shred Blood Cancers” for good!
