Crystal Cabin Fever Ice Festival is Well Underway!

Sculpted Ice Works LGSituated between Hawley and Hamlin, Lakeville’s Sculpted Ice Works artisans have been masterfully carving away in anticipation of this year’s Crystal Cabin Fever Ice Festival February 5 to 28. A decade of innovative dicing has inevitably resulted in the event’s “Best of 10 Years” idea reincarnating the past nine themes.

Doors open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. introducing guests who missed any ice creations and those eager to revisit and experience the sensation of these cool formations including a 50 foot duel run Pirate slide with pint size glide for the younger crew.

Exciting ice carving competitions take place noon to 4 February 6 and 21 with daily demonstrations and factory tours that delve into the modern day makings of these larger than life masterpieces. Visitors can also peek into the past with Sculpted Ice Works’ Natural Ice Harvest Museum for a look at the refrigeration process of days gone by.

During the thrill of chills, warm up by an outdoor fire pit with a cup of cocoa and enjoy some scrumptious BBQ. Weekend wine tastings are also on the menu Thursday thru Monday.

Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for children. Kids under three are admitted free.
