Waverly Community House continues to embrace spring renewal hosting their popular Home and Garden show with this year’s concept taking a clever turn as organizer’s invite one and all to the first annual Greenhouse & Kitchen show offering innovative ideas inside and out 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 30.
With a suggested donation of $5 per ticket, Waverly Community House’s Alex MacNamara shares the inspiration for this unique fundraising event benefiting the new CommKid’s Interactive Learning Center.
Applauding the center’s approach toward educating children about where their food comes from and how to make smart decisions when purchasing food she explains,” We are trying to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers,” adding, “The show is our House and Garden show, updated, streamlined and re-imagined.”
An evening launch party with funds also benefitting the learning center is planned for April 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Waverly Community House. Featuring Terra Preta’s fresh spring lettuce cups, mini quinoa cakes and signature meat pies, the cost is $35 per person.
