“[It’s the] time of your life without a dime in your pocket,” a draw Chris DiMattio considers continuously attracting visitors to LA FESTA ITALIANA more than 40 years.
This free festival embracing Italian heritage sights, sounds and tastes, collides with the rich culture of Downtown Scranton September 2nd through the 5th with a clever mix of family friendly fun. From local merchants and over 80 vendors; to kid’s rides and an outstanding entertainment lineup, there are endless opportunities to explore what’s in store…and on stage.
Performers including The DUPREES, The EURORHYTHMS and The POETS fill four stages, with cameos sure to amaze from Nikki Rasmus’ tribute to Connie Francis, to DiMattio’s own salute to Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin featuring Kenny McGraw & Brass & Ivory Band.
Opening doors to experience all this Labor Day Weekend excitement, organizers encourage a look-see into everything stirring in and around Scranton with DiMattio agreeing, “You can do so much within a one mile radius!”
