The Pocono Mountains, known for its natural beauty, country charm and an abundance of outdoor activities, also hosts a thriving performing arts scene. Venues such as Shawnee Playhouse in Shawnee-on-Delaware offer an intimate setting surrounding world-class theater with outstanding comedy series in tune with the season.
As Halloween arrives, theatrical inspiration thrives as Scary, Scary Night—A Halloween Comedy by E. Michael Lunsford takes center stage Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30.
Calling the performance “murder most funny,” Becky Haskell shares storyline details on the tale about “twenty somethings” Derek and Prudence as they start Halloween arriving late to a costume shop.
Hating anything to do with bodies, coffins, ghosts and all things ghoulish, Derek’s seemingly unfounded hesitance to holiday haunts turns out to be realistically reasonable as the costume store manager hides a deep dark secret…a dead body he needs to off load!
An enjoyable mix of hilarity, touch of romance, bit of crazy and some surprising twists fill this fresh new comedy directed by Loree Flanagan and featuring Dan Eash, Luke Swierczek, Matt Christie, Aubrey Haskell, Marty Courtney and Kari Kenidi.
On with the show…8 p.m. Friday, October 28th and Saturday, the 29th with 2 p.m. Sunday, October 30th.
Tickets are $18 Adults, $15 Seniors 55 and up with Ages 17 and under $10.
